Pramana Medical Centre opened in September 2021, founded by Dr Rajeshwary (Raji) Krishnan and her daughter Dr Priya Krishnan. Pramana’s vision is to provide Health without Barriers. Our practice and team, is entrenched with cultural sensitivity, is trauma informed and focuses on addressing the social determinants of healthcare in parallel with providing medical care.

Dr Raji Krishnan has dedicated her medical career to delivering health care to First Nations people, with over 45 years' experience spanning multiple organisations and different health care settings. PMC brings together this wealth of knowledge to deliver a culturally safe and trauma informed experience of health care in a mainstream setting. Both Dr Raji and Dr Priya have extensive experience in Aboriginal Health, Women's Health, drug and alcohol support, mental health, homeless healthcare and general practice.

At PMC we believe in slow medicine, we take our time to get to know you and your family. One of our values is to ensure we have a collaborative model where health professionals work together to ensure the right person at the right time is available to help our patients. Our expert team includes specialist nurses, GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, psychologists, social workers, exercise physiologists, podiatrist, optometrist, chiropractors, phlebotomy, sleep specialist, psychiatrist, a clinical pharmacist and a diabetes educator. We are always looking to expand to ensure we can continue to provide access to affordable health care for our community of patients.

The team at Pramana Medical work very closely with community organisations, Aboriginal Health Services, and the local hospitals, we work in innovative ways to ensure our patients have continuity of care to prevent a fragmented experience of healthcare care, instead our aim is to deliver a cohesive, integrated experience that actively works towards closing the gap in health outcomes.
